Gold On The Inside

So, I think it is fair to say we have been living pretty simply. And by simply, I mean broke. This week has been pretty amazing. First thing is the refrigerator. We have been using a cooler since we moved in. A friend of Helens was moving and gave us her fridge. Having a fridge after weeks of cooler livin' is realizing how luxurious just the basics are. Now, things are different in the apartment rental game out here. Apts don't always come with appliances. We also got a White Christmas tree, which was a gift from a friend. And today, we finally got internet access and a land line telephone. Our place is just at the bottom of the hills, so our cell phones don't work in the apt, so we got's a land line.
