What I want in the New Year for myself in no particular fucking order.Don't judge me.
A new whip.
Whiskey
Beer
Money
An entry on IMDB
HappinessAnd to never work another fucking new years eve in the restaurant/bar industry ever again. I don't hate new years, i just hate all the times i have worked it. the restaurant and bar industry need to get back to their roots and stop gouging the fuck out of people with packages and high priced prix fixe course dinners. In prix fixe, notice how the first word is prix. Exactly what all bar owners and restaurant owners are on new years ever. Be good to the people who have supported your business the other 364 days out of the year. Create a buzz by not trying to be something your not. All you can drink packages, they suck. They encourage people to drink way too much so they can get ready for midnight and be absolute puddles by the time the bar/club closes. The businessess run well in organized chaos during other busy nights of the year, why does this night get the asshole treatment? lets start being good to the customers who frequent the places year round who sometimes make our jobs easier and better by being good to us on our bad nights. Backlash, bitches. Charge to much for a CD, people download. Charge too much for a movie, people download or watch bootlegs. Charge too much for a night out, and eventually people will just stay at home. Concerts aren't full of fans anymore, just assholes checking their phone/PDA's/iphones while they enjoy the tickets from their boy and can't even name half the songs on the album. Professional sports, the same fucking thing. Be good to the average joe, they can only take getting fucked in the ass for so long while they are being bled for everything they got. This new year, don't pay $9 for a beer a the ball park. Have a family picnic with your friends or family at a public park. Stop giving your money to people and places and perfectly marketed products that don't give a shit about you. Fuck 'em, buy a bottle of booze, cook at home, and enjoy yourselves. Our parents had fun and families with a whole lot less money then we have, they just did it right. Do it right, quit being a sucker. Save some money for a vacation, and realize that the world keeps spinnin with or without you. Love in ought 8.
